Who should try this experience? Have you always wondered what it's like to breathe underwater? If you want to try scuba diving, but aren't quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is for you. While not a scuba certification course, Discover Scuba Diving in Cozumel is a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world. To sign up for a PADI Discover Scuba Cozumel Diving experience, you must be at least 10 years old. No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but you need to be in reasonable physical health. The maximum Depth for this program is 40 feet / 12 meters
What will you learn? You learn the basic safety guidelines and skills needed to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional. Get ready to: - Go over the scuba equipment you use to dive and how easy it is to move around underwater with your gear. - Find out what it's like to breathe underwater. - Learn key skills that you'll use during every scuba dive. Have fun swimming around and exploring. - Hear about becoming a certified diver through the PADI Open Water Diver course.

GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE ACTIVITY
shore dive option:
9 am we meet at the location where you will receive a theoretical talk, followed by a diving practice and then a recreational dive where you can appreciate, enjoy and have fun seeing wonderful marine life. The entrance to the dive is from the coast and the duration of the activity is 2 hours (schedule to be coordinated with the participants)

Boat dive option:
9 am we meet at the Fonatur marina in Cozumel, where we will take the boat that will take us to the protected area "Reefs of Cozumel National Park" (area of coral formations) On the way we will give you the theoretical and practical talk, which we will complete upon arrival to the first reef or dive site, followed by a first dive.
We will then have an interval on the surface with water, fruit and snacks to relax, rest and appreciate the boat ride while we go to the second reef where we will do a guided dive in which you will be able to appreciate the most diverse marine fauna among which we find rays, turtles , parrot fish, nurse shark and coral formations that attract tourists from all over the world.
The return to the marina is between 2:30 /3 pm

The guides/instructors speak Spanish and English. If you prefer another language, please let us know at the time of booking.
To complete your reservation: you only have to make a deposit of 20% of the total of your package, you can do it via credit card in PayPal, OXXO, or bank transfer (within Mexico). The balance is paid in cash on the day of the activity .
